What Epic Positions are Available?

Cedars-Sinai Health System is currently recruiting for 50 implementation team members, requiring various levels of technical, business and clinical operations expertise. Positions for which we are currently seeking interested candidates include:

  • Epic Application Specialists (Levels I, II, Sr and Lead)
    Each major application or application group has one or more Application Specialist who serve as the primary support contact for the application to coordinate all issues that arise during the project, and have vast knowledge of the organization’s policies, procedures and business operations. An Application Specialist also serves as an important bridge between end users and the implementation staff. Critical abilities include leading meetings, resolving conflict, tracking and managing issues, and oversight and implementation of project plans. Specialists from many clinical and administrative backgrounds will be needed, including, radiology, pharmacy, accounting, scheduling, registration, HIM, HIPAA, IT, nursing, billing, contracts, labs, physician practice workflow, ordering and documentation, materials management, and more.
  • Epic Principal Trainers
    The training team works with Application Specialists to develop and implement the overall training program for the organization’s end users of the Epic system. Principal Trainers develop training programs for the applications and are integral members of the project team and involved in workflow design and system build.
  • Epic Report Writers
    Report Writers analyze, create specifications for, and write individual Clarity reports for applications. Successful Report Writers have strong project management, leadership and communication skills and are comfortable with relational database concepts. They must have proficiency with report writing tools and the ability to gain in-depth understanding of a data model to determine data structures that benefit an entire reporting environment.
  • Epic Programmer Analysts and Cache Database Administrators
    Programmer Analysts and Cache Database Administrators are the primary support contacts for the interfaces they are assigned to and coordinate all issues that arise during the project for their interface(s). They work closely with the technical and application teams to ensure that the interfaces meet the needs of the end users. HL7 interface experience is required.
  • Epic Administrative and Managerial Positions
    A variety of administrative and managerial positions are needed to support the Epic implementation. These include Project Managers, a Training Manager, EMR Ambulatory Systems Lead, Enterprise Imaging Manager, OpTime Implementation Lead, Radiant Implementation Lead and Director of Business Systems.
